2017 ZULU Poster by: Iam Bennu

Limited Edition

The 2017 Zulu Limited Edition print

The concept of the poster is abstract. Set from an aerial view of what the parade looks like if you view from above Broad and Orleans. In each quadrant is a different subject. The top left quadrant has the Zulu mask. In the top right quadrant you see the comedy mask of carnival. In the bottom left quadrant you see the tragedy mask of carnival. And in the bottom right quadrant you see a spiritual performance from the Zulu Gospel Ensemble. Most importantly at first glance of the image you see a cross. The overall cross scene represents the Zulu prayer for the cessation of violence in our community. Not only does the color scheme represent Mardi Gras with its purple, gold and green hues, they also represent the fraternity color of our 2016 and 2017 Kings. Each poster is signed and numbered by Iam Bennu and King Zulu 2017, Adonis C. Expose.
